Just six years after we left Princeton to do graduate school and medical school at Duke, my wife Elisabeth *70 and I had the good fortune of participating in what was probably Princeton's first on-campus alumni college. It was in 1976, so the topic was the bicentennial of the American Revolution.

It was delightful. There were some 50 us, living at Princeton Inn, having classes during the day, drinks on the patio overlooking the golf course at the end of each day, and generally having a wonderful reunions type of experience with interested alumni of all ages.

Any chance of reviving on-campus alumni colleges?
