In Response to: Women’s Rugby Players Start Their First Varsity Season
I joined the women’s rugby team as a freshman in the fall of 1981 at the urging of childhood friend Jan Wurtzburger Hack ’83. I played all four years at Princeton and was a co-captain in my senior year. Playing rugby gave my Princeton experience a depth I would not otherwise have had. We had a great community, fun and supportive teammates, and a chance to compete and travel. I didn’t know the sport had been elevated to varsity status and I think that’s fantastic!
