Palmer Stadium was mostly rubble on April 15, 1997, when these unidentified women posed in front of its collapsed entrance towers. The 82-year-old stadium, second-oldest in the country after Harvard’s, was razed that summer, and all 1997 football games and track meets were held on the road. On Sept. 19, 1998, the inaugural football game in the new Princeton Stadium drew 27,800 fans — and much fanfare — when the Tigers defeated Cornell. Can anyone name the women or photographer?
