ROSANNA DIED at her home in Cambridge, Mass., July 27, 1993, of metastatic breast cancer. A memorial fund has been established in her name at BethIsrael Hospital in Boston.

At Princeton, Rosanna was a member of Campus Club, was a resident advisor in Wilson College, and helped organize Special Olympics. Rosanna also worked at the Center for Visitor and Conference Services.

With Rosanna's passing, the class has lost a truly outstanding scholar. More than anything, Rosanna loved to learn. A religion major, Rosanna excelled academically. She graduated magna cum laude, was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and won a departmental thesis award. Following graduation and a short stint as a paralegal in a Boston law firm, Rosanna entered Harvard Divinity School,

Rosanna was a person of great inner strength. After being diagnosed with breast cancer in Feb. 1989, she persevered in her studies at Harvard, despite chemotherapy and frequent medical absences. Even as her physical abilities declined, Rosanna remained a leader in the classroom. Throughout the extended illness, she was cared for by her devoted boyfriend, Jonathan King '87, and her mother, Martha,

Rosanna is survived by her parents, Andrew Allen '59 and Martha; her two brothers, George and Bill; and her beloved Jenny. The class sends sincere condolences to Rosanna's family and friends.
