Fritz died May 26, 2018, after a long, heroic battle with cancer.

He grew up attending public schools in Little Rock, Ark., but his senior year was spent at Exeter and he graduated from there. At Princeton, he majored in philosophy and was an enthusiastic member of Cannon Club. He was a participant in club intramural sports and was a champion in pool and billiards. He roomed with clubmates Toby Wise, Jack Veatch, and Bill Susen.

During his senior year Fritz married his high school sweetheart, Connie. They had a wonderful 63-year marriage and reared four children. They enjoyed summer vacations at the family cottage in Ludington, Mich., and trips to Europe.

He spent his career in the casualty insurance business, co-founded a successful agency, and retired after the sale of the firm. He taught himself computer programming and created software programs for administration of self-insurance plans.

He joined in Connie’s love of gardening and was a gourmet and loved cooking, with a specialty in outdoor grilling. Fritz attracted many friends and was dearly loved by his family.

He is survived by Connie, two sons, two daughters, and six grandchildren. He will be missed.
