In Response to: Debating sexual ethics [6]

With regard to the question of ethics raised by professors Robert George and John Londregan (letters, March 4 and June 10), let me go to the very base of things. Presently, tension exists between the older and the newer ethical standards. I view the choice as follows: Life is like a great stage. Besides myriad performers, there are two principal ones. The crucial choice in life is how to specify them as to their order and manner of spelling. One choice is “Me, god.” The other is “God, me.” My theory is that this choice determines one’s choice of ethics.
