Peter died Feb. 20, 2021, in Spokane, Wash.

He came to Princeton from Lynbrook (N.Y.) High School and followed his brother, Dr. Joseph L. Glass ’57, to the University. After Princeton he studied medicine at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York. Upon attaining his medical degree he met Pamela Raught, who became his wife and lifelong companion. He served as a captain in the Air Force for two years during the Vietnam War. After his service he trained in anesthesiology, moved to Spokane, and joined an anesthesiology practice.

Retiring after 20 years in practice in 1992, he made his living as a day trader in the equity markets. He also played recreational poker in Texas Hold ’em and Omaha poker tournaments. As hobbies he enjoyed skiing, fishing, fly-tying, painting, travel, and golf.

Peter and Pam nurtured two children: Todd Gordon Glass, a graduate of Cornell, is an energy attorney in Seattle; and Marietta Dagne Estess, a graduate of Whitworth University with a master’s degree from Gonzaga, is a Head Start teacher in Spokane. He is also survived by grandchildren Paulina, Peter, and Alex Glass, and Emily and Michael Estess. The class offers heartfelt condolences to Pamela and the family.
