The class lost one of our kindest and most engaging members when Andy died May 22, 2021, after a short battle with brain cancer.

Born and raised in Princess Anne on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, Andy attended Kent School in Connecticut. At Princeton he majored in history, played on the squash team, and was a member of Cap and Gown. His circle of roommates and pals included Beehler, Fleming, the Hermann cousins, Kelsey, Kelso ’74, Pyne, Rice, and Richardson.

After Princeton Andy entered the world of investment banking, working with Citibank, Merrill Lynch, and Bank of America before joining U.S. Bank in 2007. During this time he lived in Paris, London, and New York; when he retired in 2019, his primary home was in Lake Wylie, S.C.

Andy was a true and humble gentleman, equally comfortable in the wilds of Wall Street as at his beloved Eastern Shore. Always fit and trim, he worked out regularly, was known for his culinary skills, and was the most loyal of friends. Even at the end, his outlook on life was positive and forward-looking.

He is survived by his daughters, Railey and Rebecca; his brothers, Richard and Arthur; and his sister, Katherine Maher. The class extends condolences to the entire family.
