This compilation of Eric Moe’s compositions features chamber music for violin and piano, saxophone trio and quartet, solo violin, and percussion ensembles, and ranges from edgy and lyrical to gritty and melancholy. The composer of what The New York Times has called “music of winning exuberance,” Moe draws on influences from pop, rock, jazz, classical, and non-Western musical traditions. A pianist and keyboardist, he is a professor of composition and theory at the University of Pittsburgh and has held visiting professorships at Princeton and the University of Pennsylvania.
