Thank you for the link to the Oct. 20, 2023, petition, which I had not read before and whose omissions and euphemisms are unworthy of a Princeton University faculty member. E.g., there is no specific mention of the slaughter and hostage-taking of Oct. 7, or which parties were involved in that, or the status of the hostages as of the petition. There is just a vague reference that “the events of the past two weeks were not unprovoked” and the authors are “profoundly disturbed by the impulse ... to condemn Hamas exclusively” while they do not condemn Hamas at all. PAW’s title should keep the “Activist” part but remove the “-Scholar.”
