A Familiar Guitar

It looks to me like the young man in the foreground of the Oct. 25 President’s Page photo is holding an Eastman archtop guitar, maybe an 810. The distinctive features are the lack of control knobs on the front and the shape of the wooden tailpiece. Nice ax! I still have a 1971 Guild CE100 hollow body, which I got as a sophomore. I picked Guild because I played southpaw, and at the time Guild would make anything in the catalog lefty for 10 percent extra. Maybe I should dust it off and see if it still works.
