II was lucky to meet Chris in Majorca the summer of '59, and as an 18-year-old boy and member of a conventional Spanish family was struck by his independence. No fixed schedules and no preconceptions. A sensitive, brilliant man, a quiet American who conveyed the not-so-well-known image of the humanistic America. God bless you, Chris!
