In Response to: Funny Girl

I am the proud mother of Princeton alumnus Brendon Pritchard ’07. When my son’s Feb. 8 issue of PAW came in the mail, imagine my surprise when I read the wonderful article on Ellie Kemper ’02 – I did not know she is a Princeton grad, and I also noticed something that caught my eye in a personal way. Ellie’s mom, Dorothy [Jannarone Kemper ’72], was a student at my high school during her teen years. My mother, Phyllis Ross, was the advanced-placement teacher in history at Highland Falls High School, and I’m sure Dottie, as she was called back then, was one of my mother’s students. Not only was Dottie a natural beauty, and a very nice person, but she also was a top student at the high school and obviously during her Princeton years. Ellie shares all those traits with her mother, it seems!

If my mother were alive today, she would have loved to read this article about Ellie as much as I did, and she would want to send best regards to Dottie and her family. So I send those regards to the Jannarone/Kemper family, and best wishes to Ellie for continued success. Go Tigers!
