I went to Royal Oak High School with Mike. With him I enjoyed classical music and many miles of bike riding. I was also part of his wedding party. Over time we went in separate directions. He stayed East and I went to the West Coast. He pursued an academic career and I a career in outdoors recreation. But I never forgot all the years as teenagers that we spent doing things together.
