Tim Zenker was one of the most intelligent men I have met in my life, which has taken me to many countries. He had a great sense of humor about himself, nature, and thought about history in a deep context. He was really a gifted human being. I was sad to hear that I had come within 20 minutes of him, after moving a lot in life, a few weeks before his passing. He believed in me and encouraged confidence and preparation when nobody else did. I think about him most weeks of my life.
