My long-lost uncle, Selden Spaulding, was a great help in filling in the blanks on the paternal side of my DNA, after I made contact with him in San Francisco. His brother, Edward Rich Spaulding, was my natural father and a person I never got to meet or know anything about until I was in my 20s. Selden was helpful in providing me with the Spaulding family history and the medical history. He also inspired me to become an artist and a writer.
