Stewart G. Wagner ’42

STEW DIED from complications following an automobile accident near his home in Memphis Mar. 29, 1994. He retired in 1966 from an architectural practice he had founded a number of years earlier and was licensed in 17 states. He had designed many hospitals, schools, and office buildings.

Stew prepared at Mercersburg and, at Princeton, majored in architecture, graduating with honors. He was also a member of Tower Club. After spending three years in the army air force as a corporal, he did graduate work in architecture at Cornell before joining a firm in Memphis as a draftsman. Following the establishment of his own practice in 1962, he received the Natl. Certificate of Architectural Registration in 1965. Stew had three loves: love for God, love for family, and love for Princeton.

TO his widow, Ann; his daughters, Mary, Helen, and Patti; and his five grandchildren, the class extends its most sincere condolences.
