Seeking God in Science: An Atheist Defends Intelligent Design

(Broadview Press) Morton, a philosopher of science and an atheist, analyzes the arguments for the doctrine of intelligent design — and ultimately argues that it deserves serious consideration as a scientific theory. He also examines the debate over teaching it in public schools, and explains why students’ scientific education could benefit from a consideration of the arguments for and against intelligent design. Morton is an associate professor of philosophy at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
