 “Dei sub numine” isn’t easy: Perhaps the best one could come up with is something like “Under God’s divine power” or “divine will.” But “viget” is another matter, and I remember my father (Tracy H. Logan ’29) showing me this letter in PAW [a 1956 letter reprinted in From PAW’s Pages, Dec. 7] and pointing out that the verb is a simple present indicative: “She flourishes.”
