I am envious of today’s undergraduates for many reasons. One is that they are able to play intramurals form the moment they set foot on campus, through their residential colleges. In our day, it was primarily an upper-class thing, through the eating clubs.

I played several different intramural sports at Princeton. Golf was the best, because we got open tee times and played for free at Springdale. I think the greens fees for undergraduates were around $7, but free was much better. Princeton is lucky to have such a beautiful golf course right on campus.
