In Response to: Design Dissents [6]

I, too, share Don Sessions ’58’s pleasure (Inbox, Dec. 4) in holding my print media when I read it. I’m not sure that I would go so far as to suggest, as he does, that I am elevated by holding the newspapers I read or that holding the PAW lifts me “beyond my regular day-to-day concerns.”

I do take serious issue, however, with his statement that PAW’s new paper stock “closely replicates that paper that is found on a roll” in his toilet. News flash, Mr. Sessions! Even the cheapest toilet paper on the market is softer than PAW paper. In fact, I submit that using something more agreeable would elevate you into a softer frame of mind.
