Josh Walburn ’11, above, scored the first of two Princeton goals as MEN’S SOCCER defeated Harvard, 2–1, at Roberts Stadium Oct. 24. The Tigers improved to 4–0 in Ivy League games and won their eighth consecutive game, the program’s longest winning streak since 1977.
Consecutive losses to Columbia and Harvard Oct. 16 and 23 dropped WOMEN’S SOCCER to 3–2 in Ivy games and 8–6 overall.
Strong hitting by Lydia Rudnick ’13 propelled WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL to a 6–1 record in the first half of the Ivy season. Rudnick won or shared Ivy Player of the Week honors in three consecutive weeks.
Kat Sharkey ’13 scored three first-half goals in a 4-0 shutout win over Harvard Oct. 23, and FIELD HOCKEY improved to 5–0 in Ivy play. The Tigers lost their last two nonconference games, 4–2 at Connecticut Oct. 17 and 1–0 at Penn State Oct. 24.
WOMEN’S OPEN CREW and MEN’S LIGHTWEIGHT CREW each won varsity-eight races at the Head of the Charles Regatta Oct. 23–24. The men’s lightweights broke the course record by 13 seconds.
