Tony died Aug. 19, 2014, in Binghamton, N.Y. He was a lifelong and loyal resident of the tri-cities area of the Southern Tier counties of New York. He attended Union-Endicott High School; his athletic abilities there prepared him for our freshman and junior varsity football teams. His hard work on the field and warm smile earned him many fast friends, and he joined some of them at Tiger Inn, while rooming with Shiffrin, Goeltz, and Nixon. He studied economics with Professor William Baumol, who was the advisor of Princeton presidents William Bowen *58 and Harold Shapiro *64.

After graduation, Tony returned to New York and graduated from Albany Law School, joining the bar in his beloved Southern Tier. While in general practice on his own, he developed a special interest in environmental issues, and his caring activism was instrumental in leading to the cautious approach of New York State to fracking, which has caused havoc elsewhere.

The class extends its condolences to his sisters, Anita Casella, Theresa DeLorenzo, Diane Dwyer, Suzanne Aldridge, and Sylvana Dodd; as well as their families. Tony will be fondly remembered and deeply mourned by his many friends and teammates in the class.
