Basil Wagner Jr. ’42

Body

Basil died July 4, 1997, after a period of declining health. He grew up in Baltimore's Green Spring Valley. After attending Gilman, he went on to Princeton and was a member of Ivy Club. He entered with the Class of '41, repeated a year, and graduated with '42.

In college, he sang with a close harmony group that was a precursor of the Nassoons. He also sang with a group called the Foxheads in Baltimore after the war.

Basil was buried at St. Thomas' Church in Garrison Forest, Md. He is survived by his brother, Charley, and family, to whom the Classes of '41 and '42 extend sympathy.
