Benjamin F. Clifford ’88

Benjamin F. Clifford died Dec. 11, 1994, of a fall at Mt. Bromo volcano in Eastern Java, Indonesia. He was on vacation from his job at the First Manhattan Consulting Group in N.Y.C.

Born in N.Y.C., Ben prepared at the Taft School. At Princeton, he was a member of Wilson College and Colonial Club and majored in history, graduating cum laude. Friends will remember Ben for his sense of adventure, love of life, and unrelenting spirit. In 1985, he took a semester off to travel the world, passing through China, India, and the Soviet Union. He later went to Europe, South America, Australia, and New Zealand.

Survivors include Ben's father, William '48, and his brother, Nicholas '82. Contributions can be made in Ben's name to: Sierra Club, 625 Broadway, New York, NY 10012. The class will miss Ben deeply, and extends its sympathy to his family and friends.
