Bruce Bedford Jr. ’39

Body

BRUCE DIED Sept. 12, 1994, at his home in Lady Lake, Fla. He had moved there when he retired in 1983, after having lived most of his life in Princeton. Born in Trenton, he entered college as one of our class's large contingent from Lawrenceville, but left in the spring of sophomore year. He entered Wharton Business School the following year and later joined his father's business, the Luzerne Rubber Co. in Trenton, where he eventually became treasurer and then president. From 1942-46, he served as a captain in the Marine Corps, earning the Okinawa and China ribbons.

Bruce's first wife, Hope, died in 1952. In 1954, he married Geraldine "Jere" Barton. To Jere; sons Bruce III, Gary. and Barron; daughters Joyeuse and Dale; and seven grandchildren, we offer our sympathy and continuing friendship.
