Body

WE LOST DODD Mar. 4, 1993.

Life was an adventure for Dodd. At 17, he completed an I 8month odyssey, sailing around the world on the clipper ship YANKEE. At Princeton, he was a member of Charter Club, an English major, and a mainstay of the flying club. He left in his junior year and served the next eight years in the marine corps. His passions were reading, sailing, flying, science, electronics, and computers. His bent for the intricate led him into computer programming and data processing management, fields in which he was working when be died.

During the past several years, Dodd returned faithfully for the Harvard and Yale football games, occasions which gave him the opportunity to visit with his two Princeton daughters, Libby '88 and Lee '93, of whom he was intensely proud.

Dodd was married to Glenna Mason Pope. In addition to his daughters, Dodd had a son, C. Dodd IV, who attended American Univ. and now serves in the navy. Dodd is also survived by his father, a sister, and two brothers. The class extends its heartfelt sympathy to them all.

We will miss Dodd and the love and enthusiasm he held for Princeton. Those wishing to remember Dodd have been asked to make gifts to the Class of 1959 Memorial Scholarship Fund.
