CHIC NICHOLS DIED Feb. 1, 1994, after a nine-month struggle with cancer. Born in Trinidad, Colo., he roomed with Peter Bentley and was a member of Cannon Club, where his close friends were John Armitage, Charley Toll, Jerry Barzaghi, and George Benson. He left school after junior year upon the death of his father (a member of '09) to manage the Krille-Nichols Wool and Hide Co., which was started by his grandfather.

Chic married Anne Stephen Oct. 14, 1939. They had three children, Nancy Bonforte, Sandra Robinson, and Dr. John, all of whom survive.
