David John Seltzer ’48

David Seltzer died Sept. 24, 1997.

A graduate of New Utrecht H.S. in Brooklyn, David graduated in June 1947 with honors in economics. He was on the track team.

David joined Phillips-Van Heusen right after graduation and worked his way up to the position of v.p. of merchandising. ln 1979, he joined the American branch of Tomen, a Japanese trading company, as v.p. of marketing. He eventually became chief operating officer of a menswear company owned by Tomen until his retirement in 1990.

Faye, whom he married in 1947, and David moved to Tucson to enjoy tennis, golf, and playing the piano. Their expertise in bridge was well known.

To Faye and to his sons, Clifford and Bradley, the class extends its deepest sympathy.
