Frank died at his home in Oxford, Md., on Aug. 19, 1989, at the age of 69.

Born and educated in the public schools of Montclair, N.J., Frank graduated from Exeter and Princeton. During WWII, he served in the Navy in the Pacific Theater. After the war, Frank worked for a short time at the Harborside Warehouse Co., in Jersey City, and in 1951, he joined DuPont's petrochemical dept. He also worked in the purchasing, treasury, and information systems depts. before he retired in Dec. 1978.

Frank loved the Eastern Shore of Maryland and lived there part-time from 1960 to 1978 and full-time after his retirement. He was active in Oxford affairs, belonging to the Tred Avon Players, Tred Avon Yacht Club, Talbot Country Club, Elks, and American Legion.

In addition to his mother, Mrs. Frank R. Clarke Sr., he is survived by his wife of 31 years, the former Katherine Hutchison. To the members of Frank's family we offer our deepest and most sincere condolences.
