Frank William Milbourn Jr. ’34
Frank Milbourn, who lived and worked in Painesville, Ohio, nearly all his life, died in the Cleveland Clinic on Dec. 8, 1989. He entered the hospital Oct 30 with chest pains and subsequently developed pneumonia, and then a severe stroke. He was 76.
Frank was chairman of Coe Manufacturing Co., a family business which he joined in 1934, and served as president from 1957 to 1977. He was on the boards of Cleveland Trust Co., University School, where he prepared for college, and Lake Erie College, which in 1976 conferred upon him an honorary doctor of laws degree. He was the Painesville Chamber of Commerce Man of the Year in 1980, and a past president of the local Kiwanis. He was also active in many other organizations. He was an intensely loyal Princetonian and served from 1969 to 1974 on our Class executive committee.
Surviving are Frank's wife of over 50 years, Lucille (Lucy) Buehler Milbourn; two sons, Frank W. III and George B.; a daughter, Marilyn (Mrs. Robert W. Mallett Jr.), and ten grandchildren, all of whom live nearby. We offer to them our sincere sympathies.
