GEORGE DIED Aug. 13, 1994, after a long bout with lung trouble. He was 82. His family were lifelong residents of St. Louis, where he died. George came to Princeton from St. Louis Country Day. At Princeton, he was a member of Cottage Club and the Triangle Club, played golf, roomed with Dick Davis, and majored in French.

After Princeton, George obtained a bachelor of journalism degree from the Univ. of Missouri, but spent most of his business life in insurance and retired as a corporate v.p. He married Harriet Robbins in 1942 and the couple had one child, Anne, now Mrs. Robert Svensk. Three grandsons also survive. George was divorced from Harriet and married Aurelia Gerhard.

After retirement, he enjoyed attending alumni colleges, and followed his hobbies of golf, tennis, and calligraphy, Two brothers also graduated from Princeton, Carl H. '29 (deceased) and Henry T. '38. The class extends sincere condolences to the family.
