GUY DIED May 16, 1994, in Philadelphia. He was 73. A native of East Orange, N.J., Guy prepped for Princeton at Lawrencevil1e. After he graduated from Princeton in 1943, Guy then served as a first lt. in the army air corps until 1946 as a cryptographic security officer.

            He earned a degree from Harvard Law School in 1948. He joined his father's law firm in the early 1950s and began a long-time practice of corporate law. From 1956-70, Guy worked for Nicolet Industries; he served as chairman and C.E.O. until 1980, when the company was sold. Following the sale, he returned to his law practice.

            After he retired, Guy devoted many years to pro bono work, stating in a 1991 interview that "it's the obligation of every attorney to provide services to those who cannot afford them."

            Guy is survived by his wife of 42 years, Nancy Jordan; two sons, Guy G. III and Mark J.; a daughter, Susan G. Shrader; a sister; and eight grandchildren. To the entire family, we offer our sympathies.
