Howard Carter Judd died Aug. 27, 1994, at Waverly Care Center in New Canaan. He prepared at Hotchkiss. At Princeton, he majored in economics and was a member of Tower Club. His father was Clark S. '01. Howard roomed with Jack Legett and Davenport Plumer. In 1929, he married Dav Plumer's sister Carolyn. She died in 1994. They had two children, Caroline (Mrs. David Hayes) and Howard C. Jr.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Howard went to Fordham Law, and then worked in the trust department of Guaranty Trust Co., later known as Morgan Guaranty Bank, for 43 years. He retired in l972.

Howard was active in the leadership of many community organizations. He was a town official in New Canaan, a vestryman in St. Mark's Episcopal Church, an honorary trustee of the Children's Aid Society in N.Y.C., a trustee of New Canaan Library, treasurer of New Canaan Historical Society, and president of the Country Club of New Canaan from l968-70.

We remember Howard with appreciation for his friendship and wide interests, and our sympathy is with his children and their families.
