JOEL KELLY DIED July 4, 1993, in Cambridge, England. He was 39. A resident of Jersey City, N.J., Joel was a graduate of that city's Public School #15 and of St. Peter's Preparatory H.S., where he had been a participant in the higherachievement program. At Princeton, he majored in politics.

After graduation, he returned to St. Peter's Prep. to teach history and be a counselor. He subsequently worked with Bell Atlantic in Newark, N.J., his employer at the time of his death. He was also enrolled in the M.B.A. degree program at Rutgers Univ.; his brief visit to Cambridge was in pursuit of further study in international business.

Joel was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Jersey City. Funeral services were held at Mount Olive Baptist Church there on July 15, 1993.

Joel is survived by his parents, Christopher and Grace; his brother, Rudy; and many other relatives and friends. We share their loss.
