JACK McQUILKIN died in Rancho Santa Fe on Feb. 25, 1990. He prepared at Long Beach High School and transferred from Pomona College in 1922. He enjoyed a long and successful association with the Standard Vacuum Oil Co. He was manager of its Penang Straits Settlement office and later manager of its Singapore office, where he was when the Japanese invaded. He was interned at Santo Thomas in Manila from Jan. 1942 to Feb. 1945. At the time of his retirement he was a director and executive V.P. He advised the Department of the Interior on petroleum matters, was on the board of directors of the Foreign Trade Council, and was a member of the Asia Society.

He is survived by his widow, Jane; a son, Mark; a daughter, Ann; and one granddaughter and four greatgrandchildren. To them we extend our sympathy.
