John Henry Stevens II ’29

JOHN DIED Apr. 13, 1992. He had prepared for college at F. W. Parker School. At Princeton he played freshman football and varsity football. He was in Ivy Club and his roommates were Johnny McMillan and Charlie Lockhart. His business career started in women's apparel, with Charles A. Stevens Co. in Chicago, but he later moved to Denver with the May Co. Later he went back to the Chicago area, where he lived in Lake Forest. He married Leni Longley and she survives, as well as a daughter by an earlier marriage, Sandra (Mrs. Irwin Shaw), and a stepdaughter Elizabeth Ann Des Jardins. The Class extends sincere sympathy to John's family.
