Peirce Colton Ward Jr. ’41
PEIRCE WARD died Oct. 29,1991, at the Rosary Hill Homein Hawthorne, N.Y., after a long illness. He had lived in Greenwich for most of his life and is survived by a daughter Leslie Ward Lowe; two sons, Peirce Colton III and Neil Aishton; two sisters, jean W. Woollett and Edith A. Ward; and six grandchildren.
Peirce was born in Chicago. He came to Princeton from the Ashville School for boys in North Carolina. He has worked for General Foods and Corn Products before becoming a director of marketing and sales with the SquibbBeechnut Corporation. He retired in 1975.
A sailor, Peirce had been a member of the New York and the Riverside (Conn.) Yacht Clubs.
Class of 1941 archives hold but scant information about him, and there is no reference at all in our 50th yearbook. Peirce Ward was not long with us beneath the elms. We extend sincere sympathy to his survivors.
