Peter was born Dec. 4, 1926, in Mansfield, Ohio. He attended Western Reserve Academy, served for two years in the Army Air Force, and graduated from Princeton in 1949.

In the 1950s Peter worked as a security analyst on Wall Street, then became a faculty member at Babson College in Wellesley, Mass. He lived primarily in Boston at that time, but also had a condo on Cape Cod in Brewster, Mass. Peter was an active member of the Boston Center for International Visitors, a pianist, and an enthusiastic skier for many years.

He died Dec. 18, 2015, in Westwood, Mass., after a long illness. He was predeceased by his brother, John, and is survived by numerous cousins.
