The class was saddened to learn that Bob died Feb. 4, 2020, in Oakland, Calif.

Bob came to us from the Hotchkiss School, where he lettered in golf and wrote for the Hotchkiss Record. At Princeton he was on the golf team, a football manager, and a member of WPRB. Following graduation Bob earned an MBA at Stanford. He married Ellen Mason in 1964, with whom he had two children before they divorced in 1971.

After Stanford he joined Kaiser Industries in Hawaii in its real-estate-development division, ultimately managing the large residential development known as Hawaii Kai. While there he also spent a couple of years evaluating new sites for Kaiser to develop elsewhere in Hawaii and the Pacific.

In 1976 Bob married Janet Kaminski and was moved by Kaiser to Oakland, where their son Adam was born in 1977. In California he worked developing commercial and industrial projects for Kaiser before retiring in 1987.

He then became a private investor in real estate and other ventures. Throughout his life his love of golf was his major interest beyond his family and career.

Bob is survived by wife Janet; children David, Audrey, and Adam; and several grandchildren. The class extends its sympathy to all.
