Roy died April 17, 2015.

He prepared at Mercersburg Academy and joined Campus Club, majored in English, and roomed with Bill Puchner and John Root at Princeton.

After a year of law school, Roy joined the Army Signal Corps and served in Stuttgart, Germany. When he returned to the United States, he worked in sales for five years and then returned to Maidstone-on-the-Potomac, his family’s farm near Martinsburg, W.Va. He then continued the work of two earlier generations of Mish farmers — raising sheep.

Roy was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth. He is survived by children David, Susan, and Catherine, to whom the class sends its good wishes with thanks for Roy’s military service to our country.
