Thomas E. Greacen II ’28
TOM GREACEN DIED Feb. 16, 1994, following a stroke three weeks earlier. He prepared at Lawrenceville, and majored in architecture at Princeton. He did advanced studies at Columbia, N.Y.U., and the American School of Fine Arts in Fontainbleau, France.
Tom married Wynfred Fox Aug. 28, 1941. They had four children, John '64, Thomas 111 '66, Edward, and Amelia, and 11 grandchildren.
During the war, Torn joined the air force, and was assigned to air force headquarters in Washington. Tom and Wyn moved to Houston in 1944. He practiced architecture with several firms until his retirement in 1987. He designed numerous leading buildings and churches in Houston.
Tom and Wyn were founding members of the First Congregational Church. They also worked tirelessly for world peacethey studied Russian and took several goodwill trips there from 197882. They were enthusiastic Princetonians, and attended every major reunion for many years, up through our 65th, in 1993.
Tom was a gifted artist, a relentless seeker of peace and reconciliation in the world, and a hospitable host and friend. The class sends its sympathy to Wyn and their children.
