Tom died Sept. 8, 2017, in Greenwich, Conn.

Born in 1926 in Westfield, N.J., he grew up in Westfield and in Point Pleasant, N.J. Tom was in the Navy V-12 program at Princeton and graduated in 1950 from Georgetown University.

During the Korean War Tom was a pilot stationed at Breezy Point Naval Air Station in Norfolk, Va. His business career was in sales and real estate, first with a New York City firm and then for 30 years in the Greenwich area.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia; sons Tom, Peter, and Tim; daughter Kathy O’Connor; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and brothers Jack and Larry.
