Body

TRIS COLKET died Sept. 20, 1991, of cancer. Tris entered Princeton from the Pomfret School and was with us only briefly before serving with distinction as a paratrooper with the 11th Airborne in the Pacific. He then took his degree from Haverford College in 1948, followed by a degree in psychology from Temple and a medical degree from Temple School of Medicine, He specialized in neurology and enjoyed a distinguished career, centered in the Malibu and Santa Monica areas of California.

Upon retirement from the medical profession, Tris devoted a great deal of his time to Alcoholics Anonymous and over the past two decades provided sponsorship and assistance to hundreds of persons in need of such counseling. He had a lifelong love for jazz music and was himself an accomplished pianist.

Tris is survived by a son Tristram IV; a daughter Leslie; two grandchildren; as well as by his sister Susan Rakestraw; and brothers George and Charles; to all of whom the Class extends its sympathy.
