In I’ll See You In My Dreams (Koehler Books), Larkin McPhee tells the story of her brother, Charles McPhee ’85, whose life was altered by ALS. Charles was host of the syndicated radio program The Dream Doctor Show where he helped listeners who called in interpret the meaning of their dreams. He was diagnosed with ALS at 44 and died from complications due to the disease at 49. Through memories, dreams, emails, and excerpts from his show, Larkin offers a lovely portrait of her brother, both before and after his illness.
