From Eve’s Bayou (1997) to Whitney Houston: I wanna Dance With Somebody (2022) The Post Soul Cinema of Kasi Lemmons (Springer International Publishing), highlights Lemmon’s post-soul aesthetic, as well as the lens and visions she’s brought to the screen through her life and experiences as a woman of color.
