Thank you for your superb issue on “The Future of Journalism” (Jan. 8). One of the many consequences of the decline of the traditional “biz” is significant cuts to the more resource-intensive forms of reporting, such as investigative journalism. Nonprofit investigative journalism outlets like Injustice Watch (injusticewatch.org) have stepped in to fill this critical void, not only by conducting long form, data-driven investigations critical to an informed citizenry, but also by training and mentoring the next generation of investigative journalists.
