In Response to: Why We Need Civics

As a retired academic I of course would be more than inclined to agree to the desperate need for civic education in our schools below college and also in college. The liberals and radicals over the years have turned American history into identity politics, to say the least. One learns, if anything, more in school about persons no one really ever heard about than about Madison and Jefferson. Conservatives, if correct about anything, are correct about this.

But wait! Since when do we really believe strongly that information overcomes prejudice, religious mania, family orientation, or any other social or political view or non-view of reality? Skepticism is more needed here than blind hope.
