I have been a fan of Robert George for years. His friendship and respect for Cornel West *80 and their ability to exchange ideas and listen to each other despite having very different world views speaks so well of both men.  At a recent reunion, my wife met an African architect who felt very alone when he arrived at Princeton. Robert George became his mentor and lifted his spirits at a time when he really needed his spirits lifted. Professor George’s recent offer to host the lecture of Dorian Abbot stands out as a beacon to tell the world that institutions of learning are supposed to be forums where different points of view are sought after, not repressed. It is a credit to Princeton that we have such a man here.
