Both parties in this discussion missed the elephant in the living room. Young people believe that unless they get a financially potent college degree, they are destined for the economic trash can. “Doing something else” is not an option. Young people would love it, but they are trapped: A nationwide exit poll for the Associated Press found that voters in the November election were “twice as likely to think life will be worse for the next generation than better” (http://aol.it/1C3F5gB).
